This Turning Pens and Pencils book is a complement to the DVD done by the same two Authors REX BURNINGHAM, KIP CHRISTENSEN. The book shows details of all the steps in making pens and pencils. I really like the DVD's that compliment this book. This book will give you a good introduction to Pens, Parts, and the Steps associated with turning pens. It also has a section of tips and trick to extend the basic slim line pen.

New Kauri Wall Street II Pen

I made a Wood Craft Wall Street II pen using the Ancient New Zealand Kauri wood. I had fun making this pen and got really good results. Check out the pictures I uploaded on the on the link provide. I found the wood I used to be very soft. I had to get out the dreaded "Skew" and cut very carefully. I did not scrape with the skew. Using the Skew is not that hard some people just talk about it as being a scary tools. Just practice and you too can master it.

This pen has a CA finish on it. I am not very good with the CA finish but this turned out great in my opinion. If you click on pictures you can see them in huge format.
